Launched in 2009 by fashion industry veteran Linda Schlesinger Wagner, skinnytees was created to quell women’s most essential need and hardest fought fight… the search for the “perfect top!” The line began with just a handful of colors and one simple but perfect one size fits most camisole. Soft, seamless and fitted, skinnytees shape, flatter, and frame the body whether worn alone or layered. It stays put and keeps you covered when bending over or reaching up! With more than 120 colors and prints and over 60 styles sold worldwide including tanks, tees, bralettes, bandeaus, dresses, active-wear, leggings, and cardigans - skinnytees fits any occasion.

Meet Team skinnytees
Linda Schlesinger-Wagner (Owner/Founder):
After more than 30 years in the apparel industry, Michigan native Linda Schlesinger-Wagner, was inspired to create a brand that would speak to women on a very personal level. In 2009, skinnytees (TM) was born of both a personal and marketplace need, that would evolve the booming smooth-wear industry, into a collection of essential shapes that could be worn as versatile fashion pieces.
Women of all shapes and ages were looking for simple, sleek tops that were effortlessly stylish and most importantly, made them look and feel sexy!
As an apparel industry Vet, Schlesinger-Wagner quickly rolled out a complete line of essentials that would redefine the smooth-wear category, from the introduction of one silhouette, the seamless Camisole.
Prior to the launch of skinnytees, Schlesinger-Wagner successfully ran several fashion brands, including Rainbow Lollipop, a high-end children’s boutique, Annie’s Antics, a children’s knitwear collection and Annie M Designs, a women’s knit line.
Linda’s extensive experience spans various platforms of the fashion industry, from retail to design, manufacturing, wholesale sales, styling and consulting.
Linda is a long time and tireless advocate of women’s and children’s charities, actively working with a multitude of non-profits, such as The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Super Saturday, Make-a-Wish-Foundation, Pictures of Hope, and Living Witnesses, where she helped to publish “Living Witnesses, Faces of the Holocaust,“ a photo journal of 92 Detroit area survivors. With this project, she travelled the world with photographer Monni Must, creating four international books featuring Holocaust survivors.
Nancy Farris (VP of Operations):
As Head of Operations for the skinnytees brand, Nancy Farris oversees business and finance logistics, spanning multiple markets. For nearly 3 decades, Farris has worked alongside skinnytees founder, Linda Schlesinger-Wagner, helping launch skinnytees from inception, into a global retail brand. From new product development to opening retail sales channels, both online and brick and mortar, Farris has helped evolve skinnytees from one style to a multi collection and category brand.
Previous to skinnytees, Farris climbed the ranks in development and operations alongside Schlesinger-Wagner, at her previous brands including, Kidz Kloz, Annie’s Antics and Annie M Knitwear. Nancy is a tireless supporter of a variety of local and national philanthropic causes, an avid dog lover and devoted mom. Nancy received a B.S. in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising at Eastern Michigan University and currently lives in Novi, MI, with her children and King Charles Cavaliers!
Annie Schlesinger (Head of Marketing and Creative Development):
Annie Schlesinger has quite literally grown up in the fashion industry, even serving as the inspiration for two of her mother’s previous collections. Annie joined the skinnytees team in 2016 as Head of Marketing, where she has been instrumental in maintaining the ever evolving brand image and position across a multitude of channels. Annie’s team ensures every facet of the brand speaks to a broad audience of skinnytees women. From exposure to social media to ongoing promotions, Annie oversees a platform of initiatives that engage the customer on a personal level.
Prior to joining the skinnytees team, Annie worked extensively in the realm of fashion events and promotions, as Assistant Casting Director for Barcelona Fashion Week and Events Coordinator for San Francisco Fashion Week for many years.
Annie has earned an MA in Early Childhood Psychology from UCLA, as well as an MA in Education from Pepperdine.
When Annie is not attending to the loves, hopes and dreams of the skinnytees woman, she is an avid traveler, having traveled to over 25 countries. Annie lives in Venice, CA, is fluent in Spanish and devoted mom to son Charlie and fur baby Bonnie, also a King Charles Cavalier.
David Schlesinger (Head of Digital Brand Development):
With nearly two decades of experience across marketing, tech and fashion, David Schlesinger has provided marketing and growth strategies for countless businesses. At skinnytees, David has been instrumental in growing the brand into a multi-million dollar company, selling to women around the globe. From "Best In Category" placement on QVC, to vast celebrity and media exposure, David has rolled out exposure tactics that have helped make the brand a household name.
A native of West Bloomfield, a suburb of Detroit, David graduated Michigan State University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in social sciences. After emigrating to Los Angeles, he launched his marketing career in the local music scene doing A&R for Arista Records under Clive Davis.
Transitioning to the digital space, David helped pioneer affiliate marketing, domain speculation, white-hat email marketing, media buying and analysis. Building on expertise in brand licensing and transmedia marketing from his time in entertainment, his marketing company Corner 12, provides clients with a unique vision and creative runway.
David currently lives in Los Angeles and continues to drive the skinnytees brand toward the future with innovative and creative tech initiatives.
