Breast Cancer Awareness Month Sale

Meet Christine Vesnaugh

In Christine’s words:  “I will never forget the call I received. Abnormal images seen on my screening mammogram. My sons and I had just gone through another devastation by losing their father, my husband, in a terrible accident.

I knew I had to fight this and survive it for my boys.

My tumor was hormone receptor positive and HER-2 negative, giving me a good fighting chance. After a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and 28 sessions of radiation, I was cleared of cancer. Follow-up treatments are ongoing, but I feel terrific and love that I can continue to take care of our boys.

I have proven to myself and my children that we are and will continue to be fighters. You can’t explain why these horrible things happen, but your response to them is very important: continue to get back up!

I was very fortunate they caught my cancer when they did. I cannot stress enough, as a medical provider and now breast cancer survivor: get your mammograms and perform self-breast exams. I had zero symptoms. That mammogram saved my life!"
